D0115 French Widow

      
Today, where fantasy illustrators try to blow you away with slick, highly detailed illustrations, 
it's rather refreshing to see artist "studies". Mike's not trying to impress anyone. He's exploring.
You don't get show-offy slick "sales product" here, you get to see an artist "thinking" on paper. 
To my mind, that's far more valuable,..more like true "art". 
Think of how great it'd be to own a DaVinci study, that's ALSO a really nice drawing. 
To me, this simple, unpretentious, sketch has more honesty, design-style, and creativity 
than 90% of what you see on the fantasy illustration market today.
